The WX-TTG is a SAME equipped weather alerting radio capable of activating for just one county and warnings only… or all counties in your area (and all events as well) – per front panel programming. It also has a unique EXT output port for interfacing into your non-Kenwood repeater controller, or directly into the 15 pin AUX connector on the rear of the Kenwood TKR-720/820 repeaters. Weather warnings will rebroadcast over your repeater system; beginning with an 8 second alert tone… followed by the voice weather announcement.

There are three models available:

1) WX-TTG-UV universal includes:

– New weather radio with owners manual, unprogrammed (has programming and operation instructions)
– EXT output port (momentary dry contact output upon alert, 600 ohm audio out, external 12vdc powering)
– 3ft cable with EXT mating connector, and flying leads on other end
– Cable Conductor Signal identification sheet

Modulation level adjust , initial alert beeping length, and total voice broadcast time – would all be handled via your existing repeater controller

2) WX-TTG-UVT universal with external timer includes:

– New weather radio with owners manual, unprogrammed (has programming and operation instructions)
– EXT output port
– Timer cable with flying leads
– Cable Conductor Signal identification sheet
– external dual timer module, plugs directly into the EXT port; allows for control of dry contact closure time
(up to 3 minutes duration), and shortening (or elimination) of initial alert beep.
600 ohm audio out, external 12vdc powering.
– Test switch.

Timer defaults pre-adjusted for a one second alert beep, and 40 seconds of NWS audio before resetting.

Modulation level adjust would be handled via your existing repeater controller.
